Locate Your Three Love Line Numbers

Find the three highlighted points in the lower-right part of your personal chart. Read them in order: 1 → 2 → 3.

The chart below is an example for March 18, 1990. Your own numbers may be different.

1. Relationship entry

Start at point 1, the lower end of the highlighted Love Line. This is the first number in your sequence.

2. Heart focus

Point 2 is the middle number, just below the heart symbol. It is not the large number in the center of the chart.

3. Shared crossover

Point 3 is where the Love Line meets the Money Line. Stop here; the dollar-marked point is not part of your Love Line.

Example: March 18, 1990 — 12 → 6 → 21. The small blue labels 1, 2, and 3 mark the reading order; they are not Arcana values.
  1. If you have not calculated your result, enter your birth date in the calculator above.
  2. Match each number in your result to points 1, 2, and 3.
  3. Keep that order when looking up the Arcana meanings.

These labels and this reading order apply to DestinyMatrix. Other sites may use a different chart layout or calculation method.

A Worked Example: March 18, 1990

See how March 18, 1990 gives a Love Line of 12 → 6 → 21. Follow the sums below to check the calculation.

This is a calculation example, not a customer case or a relationship prediction.

How the numbers are calculated

Keep numbers from 1 to 22 unchanged. For larger numbers, add their digits until the result is within that range. Apply this rule to the birth day and to each total before using it in the next step. For example, 40 becomes 4 and 33 becomes 6. Numbers such as 12 and 21 stay unchanged.

How the numbers are calculated
StepCalculationResult
Birth day — A1818
Birth month — B33
Birth year — C1 + 9 + 9 + 019
Bottom number — DA + B + C = 18 + 3 + 19 = 40 → 44
Center number — EA + B + C + D = 18 + 3 + 19 + 4 = 44 → 88
Relationship entryD + E = 4 + 812
Money entryC + E = 19 + 8 = 27 → 99
Shared crossoverRelationship entry + Money entry = 12 + 921
Heart focusRelationship entry + Shared crossover = 12 + 21 = 33 → 66

Money entry 9 is needed to calculate the shared crossover. It is not one of the three Love Line numbers. Calculate the crossover before the heart focus. Then read the final sequence in position order:

12 — Relationship entry → 6 — Heart focus → 21 — Shared crossover

Base position A: 18 (The Moon)18Derived position F: 21 (The World)21Base position B: 3 (The Empress)3Derived position G: 22 (The Fool)22Base position C: 19 (The Sun)19Derived position H: 5 (The Hierophant)5Derived position D: 4 (The Emperor)4Derived position I: 22 (The Fool)22Center Arcana / core energy: 8 (Justice)8Talent 2: 14 (Temperance)14Talent 3: 11 (Strength)11Relationship point: 12 (The Hanged Man)12Relationship center: 6 (The Lovers)6Connection and practical channel intersection: 21 (The World)21Financial center: 3 (The Empress)3Financial point: 9 (The Hermit)9Karmic Tail middle: 16 (The Tower)16Karmic Tail inner: 12 (The Hanged Man)12Connection channelPractical channel$

How to Read Your Love Line

Read each number in its position, then connect the three questions in one real situation. The example below uses 12 → 6 → 21; your own sequence may be different.

The themes are symbolic prompts for reflection, not conclusions about your personality or your relationship.

12. The Hanged Man tarot card

Relationship Entry 12: Pause and Perspective

The Hanged Man offers a theme of pause and a different perspective. At the relationship entry, use it to consider how you respond when a conversation feels uncertain.

Ask: What has the other person actually said, and what am I assuming?

6. The Lovers tarot card

Heart Focus 6: Connection and Choice

The Lovers offers a theme of connection and choice. At the heart focus, use it to clarify what you want and whether both people have had a chance to express their needs.

Ask: What do I want from this connection, and have we discussed it?

21. The World tarot card

Shared Crossover 21: Making Plans Work

The World offers a theme of integration. At the crossover, use it to consider how a relationship fits with time, responsibilities, and practical commitments.

Ask: What plan could work for both of us this week?

Connect the Three Questions

Suppose plans change and you are unsure what that means. Apply the three questions to that same situation:

  • 12 — Pause: Check what changed before assuming the reason.
  • 6 — Clarify: Explain what you hoped for and ask what the other person wants.
  • 21 — Plan: Agree on a next step that fits both people’s commitments.

This is one way to use 12 → 6 → 21. It does not establish that everyone with these numbers responds this way. If a theme does not fit what happened, leave it out.

Apply the Method to Your Own Numbers

Find your three Arcana in the reference below. Use each theme to form a question about its position:

  • Relationship entry: How do I respond when closeness feels uncertain?
  • Heart focus: What do I want or need from this connection?
  • Shared crossover: How could our plans and responsibilities work together?

Apply the three questions to one situation. These themes are starting points, not fixed meanings for every person.

Shared Numbers, Different Chart Positions

A number can appear in more than one part of your chart. Check the chart feature and position order before choosing an interpretation.

Compare the Same Birth Date

For March 18, 1990, DestinyMatrix calculates:

  • Love Line: 12 → 6 → 21. Relationship entry → heart focus → shared crossover.
  • Money Line: 9 → 3 → 21. Money entry → money focus → shared crossover.
  • Karmic Tail: 12 → 16 → 4. Inner → middle → outer position.

The Love and Money Lines share crossover 21. The Love Line and Karmic Tail both include 12, but their remaining positions differ.

These sequences use DestinyMatrix’s display order. Other sites may use different labels or list the numbers in a different order.

If a search for your numbers leads to a Karmic Tail article, check which chart feature it explains. A title given to a tail combination does not automatically apply to your Love Line, even when the numbers match.

Use Your Reading in Real Relationships

Choose the situation that fits you. Use one question from your Love Line reading to identify something you can ask, clarify, or discuss.

If You Are Single

Think about a past connection, or what you would want in a new one. You do not need a relationship history to use these questions.

Ask: What kind of care, communication, or boundaries would matter to me?

Try: Write down one preference you would want to discuss when getting to know someone.

If You Are Dating

Choose one uncertainty, such as how often you communicate or whether you want the same kind of relationship.

Ask: What have we actually agreed on, and what am I assuming?

Try: Ask one direct question, then compare the answer with what happens afterward.

If You Are in a Relationship

Choose one recurring disagreement about plans, shared tasks, or time together. Focus on what each person said or did.

Ask: What request or agreement could make this situation clearer?

Try: Describe one specific change you would like to discuss.

These prompts cannot identify a future partner or tell you what someone else feels. Use your reading to examine your own response, not to assign an Arcana label to another person.

Turn One Question into a Next Step

Pick one question from your reading or the situations above. For a recent situation, write down:

  • What happened: The words, actions, or changed plans you observed.
  • What you assumed: The meaning you added without checking.
  • What to clarify: The need, preference, or expectation you want to discuss.
  • Your next step: One question to ask or one specific agreement to propose.

If you are thinking about a future relationship, begin with a preference you want to communicate instead of a past event.

If an Arcana theme does not fit your experience, leave it out. Base relationship decisions on what people say and do.

Why Love Line Results Differ Between Calculators

Another calculator may use different chart positions, list them in a different order, or apply a different formula. Compare these details before comparing meanings.

Use this checklist to compare another result with DestinyMatrix.

What to check when results differ
CheckCompare with DestinyMatrix
Birth dateConfirm the same day, month, and year. Check the date format before submitting.
Chart typeThis Love Line uses one birth date. A compatibility chart uses two and is a separate calculation.
Positions includedOur result contains relationship entry, heart focus, and shared crossover. A single heart number or a different chart path is not the same result.
Reading orderWe display relationship entry → heart focus → shared crossover. Match each value to its position; a reversed list may contain the same numbers.
Calculation ruleWe keep values from 1 to 22. For larger totals, we add the digits until the result is within that range: 33 becomes 6, while 21 stays 21. Compare each intermediate step.
Arcana namesWe use 8 = Justice and 11 = Strength. A source that swaps these names may give a different interpretation of the same number.

What the Calculation Can Tell You

The same birth date produces the same three values under our formula. You can follow the worked example to check how each value is calculated.

The reading adds symbolic themes and reflection questions. A repeatable calculation does not prove that those themes describe you or predict your relationship.

What the Numbers Cannot Tell You

Your Love Line cannot reliably identify a future partner, reveal someone’s feelings, or predict marriage, a breakup, or betrayal.

Death, the Devil, and the Tower are Arcana names, not forecasts of harm. A repeated number means that two or more positions have the same value; it does not establish a stronger influence or a guaranteed outcome.

What to Do Next

If the numbers differ, compare the calculation steps. If the order or labels differ, match the chart positions first. A remaining difference could reflect another method or an error; the result alone does not tell you which.

If the calculation matches but the interpretation does not fit your experience, you can leave it out. You do not need to make your relationship fit the reading.

Love Line Questions, Answered

Only your birth date. Birth time, birthplace, name, gender, and a partner’s details are not used in this calculation. A compatibility chart is a separate calculation that uses two birth dates.

In DestinyMatrix, read relationship entry → heart focus → shared crossover. The heart focus is the middle number beneath the heart symbol. The large center number and the dollar-marked point are separate positions.

Locate the Three Positions

Compare the birth date, calculation rule, chart positions, and display order. A reversed sequence may contain the same values, while a single heart number is a different output. Different Arcana naming conventions can also change the interpretation without changing the number.

Compare Calculation Methods

No. In DestinyMatrix, the Love and Money Lines share the crossover value. The Love Line entry also uses the same value as the inner Karmic Tail position. Their remaining positions differ, so a shared number does not make the readings interchangeable.

Compare Chart Positions

The same Arcana value appears in more than one calculated position. Read its theme in each position’s context. Repetition does not establish a stronger influence, a soulmate connection, or a guaranteed outcome.

Read the Sequence in Context

No. A number does not determine whether a relationship will be good or bad. Arcana such as 9, 13, 15, and 16 can prompt questions about solitude, change, attachment, or assumptions. Death, the Devil, and the Tower are symbolic names, not predictions of harm or labels for a partner.

No. These birth-date values cannot reliably identify a future partner, give a marriage date, or reveal someone’s feelings. Use communication, actions, and your actual circumstances to understand a relationship.

Check your birth date, chart positions, and calculation method first. If the interpretation still does not fit or help, leave it out. You do not need to make your experience match the reading.

Check the Method and Limits

Choose one theme from your reading and turn it into a question about communication, care, or boundaries. If you have no relationship experience, write down a preference you would want to discuss in a future relationship. The numbers do not identify who you should date.
